Sept. 14th, 2023 - Welcome to Prof. Edwin Otten from University of Groningen to pay us a visit.

Sept. 4th, 2023 - Evan attended the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) annual meeting in Lyon. He present the in situ NMR studies of Li-mediated ammonia synthesis.

Sept. 4th, 2023 - Welcome to Vince Elter to join our group as a bachelor intern. Vince will work with Giu on redox flow batteries.

Sept. 1st, 2023 - Welcome to Juan Carlos Martinez Lopez from the polymer institute of CSIC to visit Nijmegen. Juancar will work on a collaborative project on membrane materials for redox flow batteries between our group and Javier Carretero Gonzalez's group.  

Aug. 25th, 2023 - Qilei and Evan visited AQUABATTERY. Thanks to JJ and his team for hosting us.  

Aug. 24th, 2023 - Welcome to Qilei Song from Imperial College London to visit our lab. Qilei and Evan then continue the tour to Antoni Forner-Cuenca's lab at Eindhoven University of Technology, and present to Toni's research group on membranes and operando characterizations of redox flow batteries.   

Aug. 23rd, 2023 - Welcome to Helga Dögg Flosadóttir and Magnús Már Guðnason from Atmonia to visit our lab. We had great discussions on ammonia synthesis.

Aug. 21st, 2023 - The CO2 team, Zhiyu, Kaan and Evan, attended IUPAC/CHAINS at the Hague. Zhiyu and Kaan presented their posters on studying electrochemical CO2 reduction via operando NMR. Evan chaired a focus session on redox flow batteries. 


Aug. 13th, 2023 - Evan gave a talk on Operando benchtop NMR method for studying redox flow batteries at the ACS NMR symposium in San Francisco. It was great seeing so many old and new NMR friends. Thanks to the organizers, Yanyan, Aaron, Louis, Leah and Kay for the kind invitation.

July 25th, 2023 - Kaan is finishing up his first master's internship project. He and Zhiyu took up the challenges of CO2 reduction. Job well-done, Kaan!


July 11th, 2023 - Bing gave a talk for EUROMAR 2023 on Operando benchtop NMR method for studying redox flow battery in Glasgow.

July 7th, 2023 - We are awarded the NWO Open Competition Domain Science - XS fund to develop novel electrolytes for redox flow batteries. Thanks to Noël de Kler from Prof. Jana Roithova's group for the hard work on the proposal. 

July 4th, 2023 - Evan gave a talk for the 5th Reaction Monitoring Symposium at University of Bath, Operando NMR methods for studying redox flow batteries. Thanks to Dr. Ulrich Hintermair's kind invitation. 

June 13th, 2023 - Ruipeng and Zhiyu attended the Electrochemical Conversion Materials (ECCM) Graduate School.

June 12th, 2023 - Welcome to our very own Giu Silva Testa to continue her PhD study in our group.

May 26th, 2023 - Welcome to Dr. Dennis Hetterscheid from Leiden University to visit our lab.

Apr. 13th, 2023 - Our new Echem lab is almost ready. Small lab, big dream.

Feb. 1st, 2023 - Congrats on Bing's new job at Brightlands as a research scientist!

Apr. 11th, 2023 - Bing's paper Operando Benchtop NMR Reveals Reaction Intermediates and Crossover in Redox Flow Batteries has been accepted for publication in Journal of Magnetic Resonance. Congrats!

Jan. 26th, 2023 - Congrats to Ruipeng who has received the Mitacs Globalink Research Award!!! He is heading off to Concordia University in Canada to work with Marc-Antoni Goulet on our collaboration project.

Jan. 25th, 2023 - Welcome to Igor Hermans who is joining us as a bachelor intern from Radboud University. Igor is going to work on the redox flow battery project.

Jan. 13th, 2023 - Thanks to Dr. Sanli Faez's kind invitation, Evan visited Debye Institute for Nanomaterials Science at Utrecht University and gave a talk on operando NMR methods for studying redox flow batteries and electrochemical ammonia synthesis for the Electrochemistry series of the Nanoseminar.
